It’s Wanderlust Wednesday and I’m dreaming of Banff in Canada.
Perhaps you’ve seen this bit about ‘Ze Burglar of Banff-f-f-f’:
It’s a silly bit and definitely good for a few laughs, but there’s certainly more to Banff than just a name that is fun to say. Banff is a seriously beautiful place.
Located only about an hour and a half’s drive from Calgary, Canada’s Banff National Park is one of this world’s premier destinations, and for good reason. Located in the Eastern region of Alberta’s rocky mountains, Banff boasts mountains, hot springs, valleys, glaciers, meadows, rivers and forests. If you’re a nature lover or an outdoor enthusiast, Banff is definitely for you.
Visitors can spend time soaking in hot springs, hiking, biking, bird watching, canoeing, camping, fishing, and swimming. In the Winter, it’s a fabulous destination for skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, snowshoeing, or even waterfall ice climbing and ice diving for those who are a little more daring.
Have you ever been to Banff? I plan to try and visit soon! What tips do you have for a first time visitor?
