It’s Wanderlust Wednesday again, and today we’re going to take a trip to the rugged, beautiful landscape that is Patagonia. Located in the area that covers the Southernmost tip of South America, the Patagonia region is an area shared by both Argentina and Chile, with the Andes mountain range as its dividing line.
The two sides are very different in terms of climate. On the Argentinian side, there are deserts and grasslands while the Chilean side features forests and glacial fjords.
This area of the world is indescribably wild and rugged. Travelers to Patagonia can experience a great emptiness and isolation in a way that can be experienced in few other places on Earth.
The area is teeming with amazing wildlife, and visitors can participate in such activities as hiking over glaciers, whitewater rafting and hiking and kayaking in the lake district.
If you are extremely adventurous and enjoy rugged nature, gorgeous landscapes, and incredible wildlife, Patagonia is for you. I know it’s for me. I can’t wait to see it someday.
