Here and Now: Cardiff-by-the-sea, California

For those of you who follow along with my blog, you’ll know that when I’m not traveling, I live and work in the San Diego, California area. I would like to take this opportunity to mention just how fortunate I am to call such a beautiful, fun place home. As much as I love being on the road and discovering the unknown, it always softens the blow of returning after an adventure when home is somewhere other people choose to take their vacations. Could be worse!

While I feel that there are awesome and worthwhile things to explore and discover in all corners of the globe, I’ve got to be thankful that my home is such a good one.

More specifically to the San Diego area, I work in a little coastal town in North County called Cardiff-by-the-sea. It’s a small area with a village feel and I have spent countless lunch breaks walking around and exploring the area, strolling along the rugged coastal cliffs, exploring the quirky neighborhoods or meandering next to the lagoon. If you’re going to be in the San Diego area, I highly encourage you to take a little time to explore the beach communities of North County, including Cardiff-by-the-sea.

Here and Now.

  1. I’ve always wanted to go to San Diego, but wasn’t sure exactly what part! Well now I know! If you ever make a guide about the best beaches, places to stay, eat, etc I would for sure read it!

    • Glad to hear it! I have a section on San Diego. Click the California tab at the top, then ‘San Diego’. I’ll be adding more posts to this section over time so be sure to check back. Also, don’t hesitate to ask me any questions you might have when you’re planning your trip. I would be happy to give you specific tips or answer your questions ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Wonderful post. We don’t live in California, but San Diego is our vacation spot of choice. Very lovely area to visit – and I could not imagine the wonders of living there full-time.
