How to Enjoy Vegas Without Gambling or Partying

The thing is, there’s actually a lot to do in Vegas even if you’re not into partying, or even if you have kids with you. Yes, there is a lot of gambling, partying, and other such events that happen there, but you don’t need to do those things to have a good time in Vegas. Here are some of my suggestions for a good time in Vegas when you were born to be mild rather than wild.

I’m excited to announce a contribution from freelance writer and mother of two, Jenny Holt. She loves nothing more than getting away from it and taking her pet Labrador Bruce for long walks, something she can do a lot more now she’s left the corporate world behind. What I loved about Strasbourg

Strasbourg is seriously under-rated. Sure, people have heard of it, especially because the European Parliament is in Strasbourg. But, when it comes to France, I hear a lot of Americans talking about Paris, maybe even Nice, Provence, or Lyon even, but I don’t hear them talking too much about Strasbourg…but they should be. Things you should know about driving in France

I was happy to learn that, thankfully, this North American driver was in for roughly similar rules of the road and generally easy driving. On Appreciating San Diego

I’m going to toot my own horn for a moment…

I live in an awesome city.
Sometimes I don’t really appreciate it as much as I should, because I get caught up in work and traffic and bills and cleaning the apartment and making sure I’ve bought enough eggs to last through the week, but when I do stop and take the time to look around me, I have to say, San Diego is pretty amazing.

I haven’t always lived in San Diego. I’m an L.A. transplant who, like so many before and after me, gave up the glitz and glamour urban sprawl and crush of humanity for a mellower, more pleasant, more quintessentially “California” experience.

Every now and then, I like to highlight an artist who stokes my love of travel and inspires me to get out there and see a little bit more of the world. Today I wanted to let you know about an artist I discovered on Instagram. Her name is Elizabeth Marie and she does some absolutely beautiful sketches. Based in San Francisco, her work mainly consists of scenes from around her beautiful, iconic city. However, she also has sketches of other areas of the world as well, inspired by her own travels.

I could go on and on, but I’ll let her work speak for itself…
