Although I tend to gravitate more towards cities with historical significance, a different culture, or perhaps just some incredible nature than I do “tourist cities”, I do find myself curious about Orlando. Would I like it? Would I not? I suppose one of these days I’ll have to go check it out for myself and find out. For now, let’s take a look at what Orlando has to offer on this Wanderlust Wednesday…
Anyway, my love for Paris leaves me constantly dreaming of those beautiful Parisian streets as I imagine myself sipping un café au lait at a sidewalk cafe. That’s why today I’m going to indulge in my Francophile desires and devote this Wanderlust Wednesday to my favorite city: Paris, France. Special thanks to the following Instagrammers for fueling my Wanderlust…
It’s another Wanderlust Wednesday, and this week my sights are turned North to the beautiful city of Victoria, Canada. I nearly had the opportunity to visit Victoria back in August when I toured Seattle and Vancouver, but I just didn’t have the time to make it to Victoria while I was there. Bummer, but I’ll definitely get there someday. My parents are planning on retiring in Northern Washington, so I’ll be looking forward to taking the ferry to Victoria from their house when I go to visit. In the meantime, I can just daydream a little bit about this beautiful Canadian city and look forward to the day when I get to explore it for myself.
I was recently informed that traditional Ethiopian flat bread, known as Injera, is gluten free (at least the way it’s traditionally made…sometimes it’s mixed with wheat flour so you have to clarify first). This got me excited about eating Ethiopian food because I’m all about finding bread that I can eat as well as trying different cuisines from around the world. Since I’m lucky enough to live in the diverse melting pot that is Southern California, I’m happy to report that there are more than a few Ethiopian restaurants I can visit in order to satisfy my curiosity. While I will certainly be doing that in the near future, it also got me thinking about visiting Ethiopia as a travel destination. The more I look into it, the more my interest is piqued and I want to visit someday.
Niagara Falls is a beautiful, impressive, famous waterfall which is located on the border between the United States and Canada. On the U.S. side, it’s just outside Buffalo, New York, and on the Canadian side, it’s not terribly far from Toronto. I’ve always wanted to visit this natural wonder, and it would be great to combine a visit to the Falls with a tour of the region on both sides of the border. This Wanderlust Wednesday, let’s explore what a possible U.S.-Canada journey centering around Niagara Falls might look like.
I’ve always wanted to visit Toronto, Canada, but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. I know a few people from there and others who have visited and by all reports, it’s a wonderful city. It’s clean, modern, and has an absolutely beautiful skyline. There are always tons of things going on in this vibrant metropolis, and the dining and entertainment options are top notch. Let’s take a quick look at this vibrant Canadian capital and get inspired to do a little traveling on this Wanderlust Wednesday.
There’s just something about Madagascar that intrigues me. This beautiful island off the Southeast coast of Africa is home to rain-forests, reefs, and an impressive array of unique wildlife, such as lemurs.I have a few friends who have been there and came back absolutely in love and enchanted with this place. I really hope to be able to visit for myself one day.
This Wanderlust Wednesday, let’s take a look at this amazing place in the world.
A few years ago, my parents went to Belize. I was supposed to go with them but through a combination of unfortunate circumstances, I wasn’t able to go…and I was devastated. However, looking at their photos and hearing about what a wonderful time they had really fueled my wanderlust for the small Central American country, and I’m still bound and determined to make it there someday. If you’re unfamiliar with the beauty of this amazing little country, allow me to introduce you to Belize, the topic of this week’s Wanderlust Wednesday.
When you mention Rwanda to somebody, they will likely recall some pretty brutal images of war in the mid-90’s. However, things have calmed down considerably since then and in general, it’s a safe place to visit. There are still issues from time to time, however, but if you are vigilant you should be fine. Besides, Rwanda is a beautiful place that has so much to offer those who are willing to pay it a visit! Take a look at some of the beautiful images from the country, below, and imagine yourself on a trip to this beautiful African nation.
Today, you can drive across the country on one of our many interstate highways, which are much quicker than the slow, meandering journey that is Route 66. Still, for those who are willing to put in the time, there are still delights to be experienced should they choose the historic route. That’s why today we’re going to explore some of the images of the classic Route 66 road trip. Enjoy!
