You’re not going to want to take a trip to Sydney, Australia without visiting their world famous opera house. It’s an absolutely stunning iconic building that everybody should see at least once in their lifetime.
If you’re like me and you like to stay fit, you’ll know the importance of a good, healthy routine of wholesome food and regular exercise. When you travel, however, all of that can go right out the window. Between interrupted sleep schedules, long hours spent sitting in airports and crammed on planes or in cars, and the general disruption of your diet and exercise routine, it can be tough to keep up your fitness while traveling. All is not lost, however. There are some things you can do to mitigate the damage and maybe just have a little fun while you’re at it.
When it comes to travel, there are all kinds of obstacles in life that often stop us from traveling. These obstacles can be different for different people.
When I was 15, I went to a family reunion in Vancouver, Canada. Nobody in my family is actually from Vancouver, or even from Canada, but since we’re a traveling family, we collectively decided that it would be nice to go on a little trip and visit each other at the same time. As I prepare for my triumphant return to Canada’s beautiful city on the Pacific, I find myself recalling a lot of memories from that time.
As I’ve mentioned before on this blog, I work full time. I’m also about as obsessed with travel as one can be, and take any and every opportunity to go on adventures. I’m not particularly wealthy, so in many ways I’m probably similar to many of you. I would like to share with you a few tips that I use to fund my travels.
If you travel for business, you have a wonderful opportunity to get out there and see a bit of the world! Often times, business trips are quite quick and travelers don’t really have enough time to really experience their destination, but with a few little changes, you can turn it into a mini-getaway with minimal vacation time.
Now, get out there. Go somewhere awesome. Take a funny photo while you’re there. Do it! 10 years from now you’ll look back on it and smile, and that’s priceless.

If you’re only going to go on one hike when you visit San Diego, this should be it. Torrey Pines Natural Reserve is an absolutely stunning location boasting sweeping views, absolutely gorgeous coastline, natural flora and fauna, and ends with a walk on the beach next to some truly awesome ocean cliffs. I have the distinct privilege of living and working close enough to this awesome spot that I can enjoy it any day, and I want to share that awesomeness with you!
When I travel to a new destination, I just can’t wait to discover what that destination has to offer in terms of culinary delights. Each city has their own unique offerings that aren’t available anywhere else. Each country has their national specialties and regional dishes. For me, one of the best parts of travel is diving in and sampling all the delicious things my destination has to offer.
