A Day Trip to Mexico’s Valle de Guadalupe from San Diego

If you live in Southern California, or if you’re going to be visiting the San Diego area sometime in the near future, I highly recommend you schedule at least a day to go South of the border and visit our Mexican neighbors. If you have several days to visit Baja California, there are so many beautiful, relaxing places you can go. A weekend in Ensenada or Rosarito is always a popular choice for surfers and people who like eating tacos and lounging on the beach, but if you’re looking for something a little different, why not check out the Valle de Guadalupe?

She loves nothing more than getting away from it and taking her pet Labrador Bruce for long walks, something she can do a lot more now she’s left the corporate world behind. She has written a post for us today about a great California-Nevada road trip that’s perfect for art lovers. I hope you enjoy her article!

I haven’t always lived in San Diego. I’m an L.A. transplant who, like so many before and after me, gave up the glitz and glamour urban sprawl and crush of humanity for a mellower, more pleasant, more quintessentially “California” experience.

Cultural Differences Within the United States

One thing that people who live abroad tend to overlook is the fact that this country is absolutely enormous, and that there are 300 million very different, diverse people living here. Depending on where you go and what you do, your visit to the United States is going to take on a very different shape and you’re going to experience very different things. But that’s not what this post is about, either. No, this post is about subtle things I’ve noticed over the years. It’s sometimes the little differences that are the most striking.

Spend an Epic Day in La Jolla, California!

If you’re going to be visiting San Diego, California, chances are that one point or another you’re going to end up in La Jolla. It’s known all over for being a beautiful place with awesome things to see and do, so it’s no wonder tourists and locals alike flock to the little beach community of La Jolla whenever the sun is out (and…this is San Diego, so the sun is usually out). If you’re planning on visiting the area and would like to check this awesome town out, you might be wondering just what to do when you get there. I have a few suggestions…
