How to Enjoy Vegas Without Gambling or Partying

The thing is, there’s actually a lot to do in Vegas even if you’re not into partying, or even if you have kids with you. Yes, there is a lot of gambling, partying, and other such events that happen there, but you don’t need to do those things to have a good time in Vegas. Here are some of my suggestions for a good time in Vegas when you were born to be mild rather than wild.

Celiac in Las Vegas: Where to Go

When you’re celiac like me, dining out can be a stressful experience. You’re essentially putting the fate of your health into the hands of a kitchen who may or may not understand celiac disease or…worse…may not care enough to take necessary precautions. Thankfully, there are some pretty great places around the city that take good care to accommodate us. Hooray!

While I could spend a whole weekend exploring strange museums and attractions, catching shows, eating at fabulous restaurants, and doing a number of unique activities (roller coaster through a casino, anybody?), this particular post is for those of you who want to escape the city altogether and enjoy some of the awesome attractions the area around Las Vegas has to offer.

Downtown Las Vegas: The Overlooked, Oh-So-Cool Cousin of The Strip.

When one thinks of Las Vegas, one generally thinks of the Strip. All those pristine, towering themed casinos with fake pyramids, the Eiffel Tower, and all other manner of grand displays. The strip can be a whole lot of fun whether you’re a gambler or not (I should know…I’m not and I’ve found plenty to do on the Strip). That being said, Downtown Las Vegas is the often overlooked, older cousin of the strip. It’s really a shame it’s overlooked so much, because it’s a seriously cool place to be.
